We were at the 2012 Waterloo Air show this past weekend. I haven’t been to an air show in a few years and thought I would go to this years edition at the Breslau Airport.
The Snowbirds Demonstration Team (431 Squadron) is a Canadian icon comprised of serving members of the Canadian Forces. Their pilots and technicians work as a team to bring thrilling performances to the North American public. Serving as Canadian ambassadors, the Snowbirds demonstrate the high level of professionalism, teamwork, excellence, discipline and dedication inherent in the women and men of the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Canadian Forces.
The Snowbirds 2012 theme, “We Stand on Guard for Thee”, embodies the imperative that the Canadian Forces remains devout and ready for the defence of Canada, her people, her allies and North America at large. The Snowflake design represents the Canadian Forces strategic goal of increasing the profile and awareness of its role in Canada's North.
